Sept 20 2008 Mainiac Sprint Distance Triathlon in Biddeford, Maine | This was my third "official" tri of the season, and my second sprint. The venue of this race was absolutely gorgeous, but I can tell you an Atlantic Ocean swim off the coast of Maine in late September is Cold! My best performance yet with 12th place overall and 3rd in my age group! Here is the link to the wesite: Mainiac Tri Website and here are the official result: Mainiac Results |

Sept 13, 2008 Pumpkinman 1/2 Ironman Triathlon in South Berwick, ME | Wow, my first 1/2 Ironman. By far the hardest physical endeavor I've undertaken so far. 1.2 miles is a long way to swim. I finished 105 overall, and 16th in my age division (although 9th overall on the bike leg!). Here is the Pumpkinman Website, the official results, and a link to the race photos. |

2008 Kancamagus Highway Climb | These are photos from the Maine Cycling Club August 2008 Trip to climb the Kancamagus Highway Sunday August 3rd. An excellence day to climb, however the descent was one of the wettest rides I've ever done, and only started after being trapped at the top due to the torrential downpour that ensued shortly after we arrived there. 1st Annual Scarborough Sprint Triathalon | This is the first running of this race and also my first triathalon which included a 1/3 mile open ocean swim. Unfortunately for us it was on a day with 5-6 foot breakers which made the swim "extra" challenging to say the least. While I wasn't very happy with my swim time, I managed a second place finish in my division, which made me pretty happy for my first race. Click here for official race results |
